Sir Attila Pataky, Knight Commander of Malta (KMFAP) received the Hungarian State Order of Merit
 

It is a tradition now that – on the occasion of the 20th August, which is the St. Stephen's Day, Foundation of State – the President of the Republic of Hungary presents for state orders such illustrious people from the civil social, scientific and cultural area, whose activities have significantly contributed much to the development of Hungary.

Sir Attila Pataky, Knight Commander of the Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta, Federation of the Autonomous Priories (KMFAP), performer, songwriter, lead singer and front-man of “EDDA Művek”, was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit. On behalf of H.E. János Áder – President of the Republic of Hungary, H.E. Zoltán Balog – Minister of Human Resources handed over the prestigious honour to Sir Attila in the main hall of the Museum of Fine Arts on the 16th August 2012.
